"Chicken Motel 3" is made with treated wood, stainless carriage bolts, and stainless chicken wire. Materials cost about US$700. It should last a long time!

We used flat-proof tires and a solid, 3/4" stainless axle all the way across the width of the coop, to prevent the wheels from bowing out under the weight of the coop. The weight is much better balanced on this version, too. So even though the whole thing is still quite heavy, it rolls easily on a flat surface.
